Funding

Via a series of 4 funding calls, the Hub has Flexible Funding to commission up to 30 world-leading responsive research projects which will extend the research programme already planned by the Hub. The themes for these funding calls will be identified through engagement and consultation with key stakeholders across the maritime sector in the UK.

Funding for approximately 7 projects is available under Wave 2.

Proposals are invited to address 5 priority research areas:

Real-time vessel data communication
Risk and uncertainty regarding marine regulations and policy implications
Novel energy-saving devices to improve vessel efficiency
Novel cost-effective nuclear propulsion systems
Autonomy for vessel efficiency
