Summary:
The Advanced real-time cloud-based algorithms for hydrogen fuel cell optimisation and diagnostics project aims to develop an advanced algorithm to leverage vessel-to-vessel communication via a real-time cloud-based data server.
Having a connected fleet of fuel cell powered vessels will provide a powerful dataset, which with the correct diagnostic or prognostic algorithm will allow these connected vessels to self-diagnose and optimise each other. This approach has the potential to increase fuel cell efficiency and reliability, whilst also granting autonomy to the vessels when scheduling servicing and repairs.
If successful the approach could improve the range of fleet systems as well as general fleet up-time, granting potential financial benefits to the end user.
