DNV are organising the Amburn Dissemination Day (14th July) at DNV Spadeadam, following the successful conclusion of their DESNZ-funded ammonia-fuelled steam boiler testing.

“The Amburn project team are delighted to invite you to DNV Spadeadam on 14th July for a Dissemination Day, marking the successful conclusion of our DESNZ-funded ammonia fuelled steam boiler testing.

The day will celebrate the success of the project developing from 10kW lab scale to a 1 MW steam boiler.

  • Technical highlights of the novel combustion will be presented.
  • Learnings will be shared by the project team, with a particular focus on safety – as well as a hydrogen demonstration for context !
  • There will be opportunity to discuss future partnerships and further ammonia fuel developments.
  • An site tour of the boiler will be held to allow an appreciation of the engineering design and future simplification.
